My 21st Birthday

"You know you are getting old when the candles cost more than the cake"

My cake :))

Last August 20, 2011 I celebrated my 21st birthday (my birthday was originally August 21),
well everything turns alright, some of the special persons in my life came. I've only invited 18 guest so that I can accommodate them fairly but I was surprised that the guest number turned 30, yea... I'm not mad, I'm thankful... I'm thankful for those persons even though they are busy they find a time to celebrate my special day with me.

Some came early... Some came along the party... but some, didn't came at all, but its alright I know how it felts when you really want to go to a party but didn't make it.

I wish my mom knows how thankful I am for all the things she did, she cooked all day, prepared, clean the house and so on, also I'm thankful for my cousins (joyce and Monic)  who helped my mom, they are the best.

Also I'm thanking my Dad and cousin Patrick who cleaned-up the house morning after the party, I slept in my room leaving the place like tornado. But by the time I woke up the house is back to normal.

I also appreciate the people who greeted me at Facebook it means a lot, Thanks for all the wishes. And I thank GOD for all the blessings.

Here's some of the photos taken:

Sun Block and Tan Lines

I admit, I also been a victim of using whitening products, when I was in 2nd year high, I used so much astringent  on my face and all of my classmates was laughing at me of what my face had become. Peeling is a must when you use astringent products and without sunblock your face will burn, a sunburn. I looked totally hopeless, one of my friends suggested that try to use some moisturizing cream to hide the peeling away, so I did , it lessen the peeling, after a month my face turns white but my neck and whole body skin is tan, can you picture that? hahaha

I also used whitening soaps, creams, lotions and I even try to take Glutathione capsules, yea my skin lighten but the happiness was temporary and I fed up using them, I've notice that my skin became sensitive and it easily get wounded, I guess that's the price to pay.

Now I'm comfortable going out in the sun, with or without a sunblock. I embraced having a tanned skin and be thankful for it. After all I learned that it's not about the color of your skin that matters, its how you accept your self beyond what you think is imperfect.

Posing around Thunderbird village, La union the beach is great the sun and the sand was priceless. There are lots of places in the Philippines yet to discover, majority of us will choose going out of the country just to have another vacation, and yet we are willing to spend hundreds of bucks but hey  Don't be a tourist in our own country. We are called "peal of the orient" because we are rich in natural resources.
